Westgate Gardens
Start at the Westgate Towers (England's largest surviving medieval gatehouse) and walk through the gardens along the River Stour. In quieter spots, dogs can paddle in the river shallows.
City Wall Walk
Climb the steps to the city walls. It's a great way to see the city without the crowds. The section near Dane John Gardens is particularly leafy and pleasant for dogs.
Medieval Pub Lunch
Head to The Parrot on Church Lane – built in 1370, it's one of England's oldest pubs. The timber-beamed interior welcomes dogs, and the real ales are excellent. Try the pie of the day.

- • The Cathedral: Dogs are NOT allowed inside, but are very welcome in the Precincts (grounds).
- • Crowds: The main High Street gets very busy. Use the back lanes or the city walls if your dog is stressed.
- • Punts: Many river punting companies allow dogs on board—ask at the Westgate bridge!
